Anet A8 AM8 Electronics Box
Description
This Is An Electronics Enclosure For The Am8 - Metal Frame For Anet A8 Mod Found Here: Https://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:2263216 To Use This Mod The X Axis Motor Must Be Mounted From The Front. Doing So Will Require The Operation Of The Motor To Be Inverted. If You Are Using Marlin, Or Skynet, You Can Accomplish This By Changing Invert_X_Dir From False To True. For The Stock Firmware This Should Be Able To Be Accomplished By Reversing The Wire Order For The Connector. However, I Haven'T Test This And I Would Recommend Updating Your Firmware If You Haven'T Already. This Case Was Designed To Be Used With A Fan, And I Wouldn'T Recommend Using It Without One. ## Printed Parts ### Frame The Anet Mainboard Mounts To The Back Of The Frame. There Are Two Variants Of The Frame Included, One Supports A 80Mm Fan And One Supports A 90Mm Fan. 8/15/2017 - Added 80Mm And 90Mm Frame Variants That Have Mounts For A Ramps V1.4 Board. The Initial Frame Versions May, Or May Not, Be Removed At Some Point Since This Version Still Contains The Mounts For The Anet Board. ### Right The Right Panel Has Mounts For 2 Mosfets. There Is A Cutout At The Bottom Center Of The Right Panel Where The Wiring For The Left Z Motor, Z Stop Switch, Z Motor, Z Stop Switch, And Lcd Pass Through. ### Left The Left Panel Has A Mount For A Raspberry Pi. I Am Using An Lm 2596 Connected To The 5V And Ground Gpio Pins To Power The Pi From The 12V Power Supply. There Is A Cutout At The Bottom Center Of The Left Panel Where The Wiring From The Power Supply, Y Motor, Y Stop Switch Pass Through. ### Front The Front Panel Has Mounts For A 4 Channel Relay And A Lm 2596 With The Voltage Display There Are Two Variants Of The Front Panel Include. There Are 2 Variants Of The Frame Because I First Attempted This With An 80Mm Fan, But The One I Had Ended Up Being Really Noisy. Instead Of Purchasing A New 80Mm Fan I Adjusted The Frame To Support A 90Mm Fan Since I Had One Of Those. ### Screws 4 M4X16Mm Screws With Nuts To Attach The Fan To The Frame 2 M3X16Mm Screws For The Rear Screw Holes On The Top Panel. The Longer Screws Are Needed Here Since The Screw Attaches The Top And Sides To The Frame. 10 M3X12Mm Screws For All Other Panel Mounting Screws
