PG35L 1 to 1 Gear Adapter
Description
This Is An Adapter To Replace The Gear Set Inside The Pg35L Stepper Motor To Give A 1 To 1 Gear Ratio. Since No Modifications Are Made To The Stepper Besides Replacing The Gear Set It Can Be Later Reverted Back To The Original Gear Ratio. I Have Included Pics Of The Disassembled Stepper Gear Box. Just Pry The 3 Metal Tabs Gently And It Comes Right Apart. Remove The Floating 3 Gear Gear Set And Replace With This Adapter. I Used Some Synthetic Super Lube On The End Of The Adapter Toward The Stepper Motor, The Other End Does Not Need Any. When Putting It Back Together, You Will Need To Gently Press The 3 Tabs Back In Place. Since The Tolerances Are Really Close And I Know It Will Print A Little Different On Different Printers I Have Included The Freecad File So You Can Modify As Needed. I Have Also Included A Snapshot Of The Kisslicer V1.6 Beta 2.4 Settings I Used To Print It. I Did Not Use Any Cooling Fan. I Used Atomic Filament Cf Petg To Print It And Imo It Came Out Very Good Considering The Size Of Gear Details And Also The Fact That I Was Using A 0.4 Hard Steel Nozzle. (My Only Hard Steel Nozzle) The Reason I Designed This Is To Attempt To Use It With One Of My Zesty Nimble Cable Driven Extruders Since It Has Less Mass Than The Nema 17 I Am Using And Appears To Be A 7.5 Degree Motor. It May However Not Have Enough Torque To Drive The Nimble. I Will Update When I Get The Opportunity To Try It.
