- Consider Untested And Experimental!! Having Read About Vibration Issues Using Aluminium Arms, Needless To Say I Was Intrigued. After Installing The Arms It Became Clear The Frame Now Acted Like A Large Tuning Fork! Even With Well Balanced Everything, At Certain Rpm'S Propeller Tips Would Flutter, And At Other Rpm'S Centre Of Frame Would Judder (Heard With Onboard Mic). Before Changing To Different Size Arms, Motors And Propellers In An Attempt To Change The Natural Resonant Frequencies, I Came Up With These Parts. Motors, Arms And Frame Are (Somewhat) Isolated From Each Other With 3D Printed Flexible Filament (Tpe) Washers And Bushings. Arms Took 2.5Mm Bolts Through 3Mm Holes In The Frame, So This Gap Is Filled Using The Tpe M2.5_To_M3_Soft_Adapter+Washer.Stl Thing. While Just The Frame/Arms Isolation Appears To Have Done The Trick, I Jumped On The Hype Train And Soft Mount The Motors Too. Has Potential To Make Things Better, Worse Or Have No Effect Besides More "Juicy" Flying (Whatever That Means Lol). Without The Spacers And Soft Mounts, Tapping The End Of An Arm Resulted In A Sustained "Gonggg"! After The Modifications It'S Now A Quick "Thud". Not Very Scientific I Know.. - Important Note: Test Thoroughly In A Safe Manner. While The Idea Is To Separate The Components And Lower Frequency Coupling Effects, These Modifications Also Have The Potential To Increase The Amplitude Of Certain Standing Waves Capable Of Ruining More Than Your Video! Every Setup Is Different, This Is Not A Solution But Rather Another Option To Experiment With. Tourque Down The Tpe Spacers Until They Grip The Frame Firmly, Too Tight And They'Ll Have Little-To-No Effect. Threadlock All Round! For Each Arm You Will Need To Print: X6 Tpe M2.5_To_M3_Soft_Adapter+Washer.Stl (Use Slicer'S "One At A Time Feature") X6 Tpe 8Mmx0.8Mm_Washer_M2.5.Stl X1 (Or X2) Tpe 16X9X1.Stl (1Mm Remix Of Lefty9'S Soft Mounts) Hardware Per Arm: X8 Metal M2.5 Inside Diameter Washers ~7-8Mm Outer X4 Metal M3 Inside Diameter Washers (For Motor Mounts) Careful Not To Damage Motor Windings With Long Screws If Coming From Thick Plastic Dji Arms. 7Mm Spacer Block Thing With Cutout For Esc Wires Is To Retain 37Mm Dji Arm Height With 30Mm Tall Alloy Arms, To Be Printed In Nylon/Abs/Pet. Uses X2 Bolts (12Mm Of Exposed M2.5 Thread).
