X-Carriage et al for FLSun i3 (2017 edition)

Description

This Carriage And Components Were Designed To Work On The Flsun I3 2017 Edition. It May Work On More Units, However. I Wanted A New X-Carriage Because The Original Acrylic Unit Warped After Just A Few Months Of Use. I Printed This In Pla And Seems To Be Holding Up Just Fine, But Eventually, I Will Print It All In Abs. This Package Has A Few Features That You May Find Interesting: 1) The X-Carriage Has A Standard Cable Chain Mount To Hook Up An X-Chain. The Link Stl Files (Cablechain.Stl And Cablechainx4.Stl) Included Here Are Not Made By Me. I Wanted To Use The Defacto Standard Ones Made By Modelstation. The Original Design Can Be Sourced Here: Https://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:11978 2) The Rear Holes On The Carriage Are Larger Than The Bolts That Come With The I3 Unit. The Reason Is So You Can Adjust The Tightness Of The Wheels Against The 2020 Extrusion. I Have Included An Eccentric Nut For Print. These Insert Into The Larger Holes So You Can Turn Them To Snug The Wheels To The X Rail. These Two Bolts Need To Be Longer Than Stock. 30Mm Does The Trick. No Longer Than That Though, Otherwise The Bolt Will Hit The Left Z Mount Before It Can Get To The End Stop X Micro Switch. 3) The Commode Parts Cooler Fits On The Front And Comes In Two Flavors. You Can Use The One With Led Mounts So Light Up The Parts Area If You Are Using A Camera For Time Lapse. Alternatively, You Can Use The No Led Version If Lighting Up The Area Is Not To Your Liking. 4) I Created An X End-Stop Spacer So You Don’T Need To Use Two 4Mm T-Nuts To Prop Up The Micro Switch As The Instructions Say. 5) Print Two Of The Hot End Clips (Hotendclip.Stl). These Surround The Hot End Mounting Slot At The Top To Hold It In Place Rather Than Using The Aluminum Strip That Comes With The Kit. 3Mm 12Mm Long Bolts Are What You Need Here. 6) The Bltouchmountwithcableguide.Stl And The Radialfanmount.Stl Files Are Made To Mount To The X-Carriage And Be Fully Adjustable. 7) Zmount.Stl Is The Chain Clip That Mounts To The 2020 Extrusion On The Right Side Of The Printer. 8) X_Fixed_End.Stl Is A Part I Got From Thingiverse But I Didn’T Write Down The Original Author. (If The Original Owner Of This Part Stumles Across This Thing, Please Let Me Know And I Will Update It, Giving Credit.) It Is Used To Join The X Chain To The Z Chain And Mount To The Z Plate On The Right Side Of The Printer. Another Longer Than Stock (30Mm ) Bolt Is Needed To Mount This. This Part Doesn’T Fit Quite Right On My Printer But Good Enough For Now. I Will Eventually Redesign This Part And Update This Thing. What You Will Need: 3 - M5 30Mm Bolts (Two For The X Carriage Eccentric And One For The X To Z Chain Mount On Z Bracket) 2 – M3 10Mm Bolts For Radialfanmount To X-Carriage. 4 – M3 12Mm Bolts 3 – M3 16Mm Holt ( 1 For Bltouch Mount And Two For Commode Parts Cooler To Radialfanmount) Do Not Print Asselbled.Stl. It Is Just An Stl Of Most Of The Parts Fit Together So You Can See In 3D How It All Fits Together. Print One Of Everything Except Eccentric.Stl And Hotendclip.Stl. You Will Need Two Of These Parts. Of Course You Will Need To Print Many Chain Links If You Are Going That Route. I Use 23 On The X Axis And 29 On The Z. Update Aug 29, 2017: Added Two More Parts Cooler Options Called Simplewithleds.Stl And Simplenoleds.Stl. I Like This Parts Cooler Better As It Doesn'T Surround The Hot End And Require Very Precise Positioning. It Also Moves A Lot More Air Across The Part. Curious If Other People Like It More Than A Fang As I Do.
