Meade ETX-60 Telescope Rear Port Cap
Description
Had To Make A Rear Port Cap For My Etx-60. Threads Are Apparently 1-3/8 At 22 Tpi, The Iso Tap Tool In Tinkered Came Very Close And The Part Threaded All The Way First Time. This Is Only 1 Mm Thick, The Walls Are 1.5 Mm. The Height Is 7 Mm So The Inside Depth Is About A Quarter Inch. Location Is The Straight Through Rear Port Under The Eyepiece On The Etx-60. Other Options Are To Remix With More Thickness To The Base, Add A 38 Mm Disk To The Bottom For Whatever Thickness You Want And Adjust Your Fill To Fit Your Needs. The Disk Is Translucent At 1 Mm, Not Much Of A Worry At Night In The Dark. But, A Thicker Back, And/Or As I Did, Wrap In Painters Tape And Spray The Inside With Rust-Oleum Flat Black Primer, It Works Okay, See Photo. Just Make Sure It Dries Overnight, The Paint Will Flake Off Screwing It On, That'S Better Than Sticking From Wet Paint.
