Renkforce RF100 Y-Axis damage prevention clip Version 2 (experimental)
Description
This Is Version 2 Of My Renkforce Rf100 Damage Prevention / Protection Clip. Version 1 Is A Plug And Play Clip And Can Be Found Here: Https://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:2447813 Here You Can Find Detailed Information About The Rf100 Axis Problem, Too. The Main Problem Of My First Clip Is That It Seems To Be Only Working On Printers Where The Axis Is Not Bended Yet. So I Designed This One Which Might Work On Bended Axis, Too. This Version Is Using Two M3X16 (Or M3X20) Screws And Nuts. So It Is Adjustable To The Printer, But Some More Difficult To Install. Installation: 1. Like Version 1 Just Clip The Top Part To The Printer Housing Next To The Engine. 2. Use The Screw Insertion Helper To Insert The Back Screw With The Head On Top. 3. Insert The Front Screw With The Head On Top. 4. Insert The Bottom Linear Bearing Part Onto The Screws. 5. Insert One Nut On Each Screw And Turn Them By Hand Carefully. 6. Use The Printer Menu To Move The Y-Axis Four Till Five Times. If The Printer Makes Noise, Loose The Nuts A Bit. Note: On The Photo The Screws Are Inserted With The Nuts On Top. It Was Only Experimental For Testing. Insert The Screws With The Nuts On Bottom And Head On Top, Because Of If The Screws Are To Long, They Will Stuck And Might Damage Something. This Item Is Made For Protecting The Y-Axis Of Bending, But Also To Hopefully Help Bending It Back To Nearly Straight Position. If Your Axis To Bended Too Much, Install The Tool And Print Some Hours. If It Is Making Noise, Loose The Nuts A Bit. If Not, Try To Tight Them A Bit.
Use This Item On Your Own Risk!
The Photos Are Showing The Previous Version. The Downloadable Files Are The Actual Ones.
