Eclipse Goggles

Eclipse Goggles

Description

These Are Goggles Designed For Use With Solar Filter Film (Often Sold For Telescopes). Along With The Printed Parts, You'Ll Need: * [Solar Filter Film](Https://Www.Amazon.Com/Gp/Product/B00Ds7S52W) * 3/8" Elastic Band (From Any Fabric Store) * 1/8-1/4" Inner Diameter Flexible Tubing (Ventilator / Medical Pump Tubing Works Well) * Small Bit Of Felt Or Other Thick-Ish Fabric To Pad The Nose Piece * Hot Glue Tools You May Find Helpful: * Small Files (Flat And Circular Are Both Helpful Here) * Sand Paper The Goggles Print In Three Parts: Frame, Caps, And What I'Ll Call Tensioners. The Frames Have Raised Sections Around The Eye Opening For The Caps To Press-Fit Onto, Sandwiching The Solar Film In Between, Then The Tensioners Are Used To Thread Elastic Band Through In Order To Make A Head Band For Keeping The Goggles On Your Head. You Can'T Really Use Abs Polishing With These Prints, Since The Dimensions Of The Parts Are Very Important For Them To Fit Together Properly. Instead, I Used A Combination Of Files And Sand Paper, But You'Ll Have To Be Careful With The Goggle Shielding Since Those Walls Are So Thin. The Kids' Sized Goggles Are Built From The Same Openscad File, But You May Have To Render A Different Set Of Modules To Recreate Them.
