Prusa i3 MK2S Y axis stepper damper attachment plate
Description
When I Assembled My Mk2S I Intended To Add Dampers But Was Disappointed To Find That The Y Axis Stepper Was Only Attached With Two Screws. After Running The I# For A Few Weeks And Getting Tired Of The Y Axis Noise I Decided To Find A Way To Install The Damper. I Created A Plate Interface In Fusion 360 To Connect The Y Axis Mount To The Damper. The Plate Is 3Mm Thick. I Had To Use Two M3X5 Screws To Attach The Damper To The Stepper. I Also Had To Go Through The Spares Bag And Use An M3X12 Screw And M3 Nut To Attache The Plate To The Topmost Mounting Point. It Is A Tight Fit But I Haven'T Seen Any Interference Between The Button Head Screw And Nut. Here Is A View From The Top. I Also Added A Damper To The X Axis. I Just Needed Two M3X5 Screws To Install The Damper To The Stepper But Two Of The Already Installed Screws Attached The Damper To The Frame. I Printed The Part At 100% Infill For Added Strength.
