Description

This Is A Management Tool To Use With Breakoutedu Kits Or Similar Lock Out Games. Many Teachers Use A "Ticket" System With Paper Tickets And A Complicated Chart To Track Multiple Groups Using One Break Out Box. I Found It Very Difficult To Facilitate The Breakout And Manage The Lock Progress. This Puts The Tracking In The Hands Of The Students Or Makes It Easy For An Assistant Or Parent Helper. I Created These Color Coded "Lock Rings" To Be Placed On The Lock Shackle. I Assign A Color To Each Group And Print One Set Of Lock Rings In Each Assigned Color. ( I Typically Have 30-36 Students In A Class And Run 6 Groups Of 5-6 Students Per Group, My Colors Are Roygbp) I Place One Color Coded Ring Per Group On The Corresponding Shackle. When A Group Is Successful At Opening One Of The Locks, They Can Retrieve Their Color Ring And Place It On The Corresponding Spot On Their Groups' "Lock Tracking Placemat." The Set Includes: 1 Triangle For The 3-Digit Lock 1 Square For The 4-Digit Lock 2 Pentagons For 5-Digit Multi Locks That Can Be Words Or Directions 2 Arrows For Direction Locks 1 Key For The Key Lock Make It Yours: Https://Www.Tinkercad.Com/Things/Lwpb7L6Dfiy-Breakoutedu-Lock-Rings The Extra Red Key Shown On The Tracking Placemat Was Printed From Mbridges' Thing: Https://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1533742 And I Use These To Hide A "Dummy" Key For Each Group. Once They Find The Key They Bring It To Me And I Give Them A Ring Of Real Keys To Try.
