Easy Fit i3 z-axis anti wobble

Easy Fit i3 z-axis anti wobble

Description

Made For My Ctc I3 Clone. Its Was A Cheap Diy Kit Printer And Came With Basic 8Mm Threaded Rod For The Z-Axis. To Start With I Was Happy With The Prints From This Cheap Printer, But Over Time I Wanted To Improve It. But Sticking To The Cheap And Easy Method. I Was Getting A Lot Of Wobble On My Z-Axis... So Decided To Upgrade The Rods To 8Mm Lead Screws... But Before That.... I'D Go Cheap (The Lead Screws Are Cheap Enough Anyway!) By Separating The Threaded Drive Nut From The Z-Axis Assembly, It Allows You To Lose The Wobble Of The Threaded Rod In The Joint... The X Axis Is Still Lifted, But And Movement In The Rod Is Not Passed To The Rigid X Axis Assembly And Therefore - Not Into Your Print... Next Challenge Was To Make It Easy To Fit... Preferable Without Stripping The Printer Apart. This Is Done With 2 Slots In The Mount - Allowing It To Be Passed Vertically Between The Threaded Bar And The Guide Rod. Then Rotated Flat And Screwed Into Place. Note: You May Need To Sand The Inside Edges Slightly To Allow A Snug But Not Tight Fit On The Guide Rod. The Prints Are A Lot Nicer - I'Ll Try And Find Some Prints To Show Before And After. Https://Youtu.Be/L-Kib3Uuvme Happy Making. V2 - I'Ve Added A Version 2 With Nicer Finished Edges. V3 - I'Ve Now Upgraded To 8Mm Lead Screws - The Nut Was A Little Larger So This Is An Edited Version That Fits The Larger Diameter Rim On The Nuts. Edit - Now Added Left And Right Parts For V2 And V3 - Saves Having To Duplicate The Part And Mirror It.
