Indirect plant watering system
Description
Purpose Built To Allow An Automated System To Water Small Plants Using An External Pump And Reservoir. While This Was Designed For A Specific Project, [Twitchgrowsplants](Https://Go.Twitch.Tv/Twitchgrowsplants), It Should Be Usable For Any Small Plant That Can Use A Reservoir To Wick From, And For Which Monitoring/Metering Of Watering Is Desired. A 10Cc Syringe With The Needle Removed Is Used In The Holder. A Small Bit Of Superglue Around The Area It Meets The Holder Was Required To Stop It From Leaking, Even Though It Has A Snug Fit. The Syringes Are Nipro 20Gx1" (10Ml), And Can Be Found On Ebay And Elsewhere Online. The Two Holes In The Bottom Of The Planter Should Be Used To Feed And Tie A Wick In Whose End Will Sit In The Reservoir Below. For My Project, I Used Some 550 Paracord With A Knot On Either End Of The Hole. For The Reservoir, The V4 (Long Version) Shelves Require Supports. For Now, I Have Shortened The Tank In The Newer Version, And Added Chamfered Edges Below The Shelves To Require Less Or No Supports. There Is Still A Long Bridge Across The Middle, So It May Be Worth Testing To Ensure You Can Print A Long Bridge Before Attempting Without Supports. It Is Also Likely That I Will Reprint These In A Transparent Material Or With Provisions For A Viewport To See Water Levels, So The Design Is Likely To Change Again Soon.
