The Hp P3005 Laserjet Printer Is A Workhorse. However, After Many Pages It May Become Necessary To Replace The Fuser Drive Gears, About A $15 Fix. One Of The Gears Is Retained By A Little Clip Hp Calls The "Thrust Stopper." The Gear Replacement Instructions Warn You Not To Drop The Clip Inside The Printer... Not Willing To Spend $10 For A Tiny Piece Of Plastic Nor Wait Weeks For Shipping From China, I Designed A Replacement. This Part Has Many Inscrutable Features. What Do They Do? Are They All Necessary? Who Knows? But Not One To Second-Guess Hp Engineers I Attempted To Faithfully Reproduce Every Detail Of The Clip. I Used Pla Through A 0.2Mm Nozzle Running At 2400Mm/Min And It Printed Really Well. Works Just Like The Original.
