Rostrong (A Rostock derivative)

Rostrong (A Rostock derivative)

Description

This Is A Complete Redesign Of The Rostock 3D Printer. It Was My Senior Project In College. The Rostrong Is Bigger And Badder And Way More Unwieldy Than The Rostock. For When You Need To Print Big Things, The Rostrong Is Your Printer! With A Build Area Of Up To 14"X14", And The Delta Arm Configuration Of The Rostock, This Printer Can Build Up Large Objects Quickly. It'S Very Sturdy, Made From Makerslide And Misumi 2040 Extrusions. If You Choose The 1000Mm Makerslide, It Has A 7" Tall Build Area. But With The 1800Mm, It Has A Whopping 38" Build Height! It Was Designed Such That Every Part Can Be Sourced Either From The Internet Or A 3D Printer. No Woodcutting Needed! I Tried To Limit It Such That There Are Only ~4 Websites That You Need To Order From (See Bill Of Materials). It Will Also Require About 4 Pounds Of Plastic To Print. Pla Recommended! Be Warned, This Printer Is Still Unrefined, So It'S Rough Around The Edges. It Is Also Very Large! The Bowden Tube Is Long Enough That It Doesn'T Work With Filaments That Have A Texture (Like Silver). It Also Doesn'T Currently Have A Satisfactory Heated Bed Situation. But If You Need Something Printed Big, Rostrong Is Your Source! Inspired By The Original Rostock, Of Course!
