Ultimaker 3 Front Door (No Damage to Printer)

Description

Finally I Have Got Around To Designing A Front Door For My Ultimaker 3 That Looks Good, Functions Well As A Heat Shield, And Does Not Require Any Penetration / Damage To The Original Printer. It Also Hangs Neatly On The Side When Not In Use! My Design Incorporates A Cnc Milled Front Panel. I Have Included The .Stl File & Gcode (Mach3) Just In Case Anyone Wants To Mill Their Own. Of Course A Less Precise Version Could Be Made Using Conventional Tools Such As A Bandsaw & Drill. The Clear Front Is Made From A 4Mm Polycarbonate Called 'Lexan'. I Chose This Because It Mills Well, Is Very Impact & Scratch Resistant. Acrylic Would Also Work Of Course. These Parts Were Modelled In Fusion 360. The Front Panel For The Cnc Was Also Cam'D Up In Fusion 360. The Bolt / Nut Combination That I Used Are M3 X 15Mm Stainless Steel Hex Head. I Am Very Satisfied With The Finished Product.
