Tripod mount for Logitech C310 Webcam

Description

[Update: Added One 5Mm Taller So C310 Can Be Angled Down A Bit More. Useful For Mounting Positions Above The Bed.] I Like The C310 Webcam - It'S Inexpensive And The Resolution Is Pretty Good - Certainly Good Enough For Monitoring 3D Prints. The Problem With That Is The Standard Clamp Mount It'S Attached To. Good For Hanging Off Of Computer Monitors, But Not So Good For Anything Else. The First Problem Is Getting The Clamp-Mount Off The Camera. Very Easy And Quick, Once You Know How - I'Ve Included A Small Series Of Photos Describing The Completely-Reversible Process. The Simple Mount I Designed Attaches To The Camera Exactly As The Clamp Mount Did, But With A Smaller Hinge And An M3 Screw For The Hinge Pin. The First One I Made Needed An M3X25, Of Which I Had Plenty In My Bins. I Made A Second One A Bit Narrower, Using The More Common M3X20. Either One Needs An M3 Nut (Nylock Preferred) To Hold Everything Together And Allow The Camera To Be Held In Position. I'Ve Found That There'S No Need To Screw It Down It Very Tightly. With The Original White Bushing In Place, The Camera Can Be Held In Place And Still Be Adjusted Without Having To Dig Out Your Hex Wrench. I Used The Nutjob Library Https://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:193647 To Tap A 1/4 X 20 Hole In The Bottom To Take A Standard Tripod Screw. I Also Used It To Create The Included Thumbscrews That May Come In Handy For Some Situations. I Originally Made The Mount With A Wider Base For Stability In The Project I Was Using It In. I'Ve Also Included One With A Narrower Base.. I Should Also Mention That The C310 Has A Fixed Focus Set To Capture A Talking Head From A Distance Of About 2-3 Feet To Infinity. This Is Not Really Practical For A 3D Printer Camera. The Good News Is That It Is Only Fixed Because There Is No User-Access. But If You Pop Off The Faceplate (It Has Snaps) And Remove The Three Tiny Screws Holding The Cover In Place, You Can Turn The Lens Ring A Little Bit Counter-Clockwise (As You Look Into The Lens) And Bring The Focus Closer. Get It Where You Like It And Button It Back Up,
