Seed Plate For Earthway 1001B Seeder. (Carrots) This Seed Plate I Made For Carrots, Although It Can Be Used For Other Small Seeds. It Has A 3 Inch Spacing Which Plants Closer Together Then The Plate That Comes With The Seeder. The Plate Has No Inside Curvature To Help The Seed Drop Into The Hole. It Also Has No Angle On The Tab To Help The Seed Drop In. I Made It Flat, For 2 Reasons. One- Easy Manufacture And 2- Because It Is Easily Customisable With A Knife, File, Etc, For Fine Tuning. For Carrots It Works Ok With No Real Alterations. When The Seeder Is Stationary It Will Pick Up More Then One Seed, However When Being Pushed, With A Lot Of Movement, It Seems To Just Pick Up And Deliver Just One Seed. However It'S Hard To Tell When Its Being Pushed Through The Dirt. You Can Easily Join The Hub To The Outer Edge And Print As One. Sketchup File Included. The Press Fit Works Well. There Should Not Be Any Stress On The Plate To Make It Slip. Printed In Pla And There Seems To Be No Stress Or Reason For The Printed Plate To Break. Let Me Know If You Try It. Happy Planting!
