Kirby Glow Box / Light
Description
So This Is A Remix Of Feoras'S Kirby To Make Him Hollow, And Also A Box With A Slot For Kirby To Sit In That Has A Hole That Fits A 5Mm Led So That You Can Shine A Light Up Through The Kirby (A Standard 5Mm Led Fits Snugly Enough To Keep It Held In Without Glue). The Box Is Big Enough To Fit A Small Aa Or Aaa Battery Box, Or A Simple Cr2032 / Led Adapter Like This One I Have In The Photos: Https://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:525799 You Can Use Any 5Mm Led, But I Like The 2 Pin Rgb Ones That Just Pulse Through Multiple Colors. You Can Buy Them In Fast Or Slow Pulse (Fast Pulse Makes Him Look Like Star Power Kirby!), And They Run Well Off Of Cheap Cr2032 Batteries. This Elegoo Led Kit On Amazon Currently For ~$9 Has 20 Of These 2 Pin Rgb Led'S (10 Slow Flash & 10 Fast Flash), And Also Has Many Other Led'S To Play With: Https://Www.Amazon.Com/Elegoo-Diffused-Assorted-Flashing-Arduino/Dp/B0739Vkxyg/Ref=Sr_1_4?Ie=Utf8&Qid=1509039930&Sr=8-4&Keywords=Led+Kit For Kirby, I "Think" He Would Print Ok Without Supports, But I Am Not 100% Sure. I Used Simplify 3D Which Lets You Place Manual Supports, And I Did Put 1 Support Right Under The Center Of The Head That Came Out The Bottom Hole, And I Put A Couple Under The Right Arm (Kirby'S Left Arm). In My Photos It'S Printed At .2Mm Layer Height With 20% Infill - Although If You Have The Time, He'D Probably Look Better With .1Mm Or Lower Layer Height. If You'Re Interested In The Filament, I Used "3D Solutech Natural Clear 1.75Mm Pla" - It'S Not Really Clear, But It Is A Nice Diffused Look That Works Well For This. The Box Is Also Printed At .2Mm Layer Height With, And I Did Use Support For The Lid. The Lid Fits Snugly (It Snaps In Place). Thanks Feoras For The Great Kirby!!!
