Tobacco Tin Insert (updated to v08 + OpenSCAD)
Description
This Is My First Attempt At Using Onshape So Be Gentle. Actually, Any And All Criticism Is Welcomed So That I Can Improve. The First Design Seemed A Little 'Clunky; To Me So I Redid It From The Ground Up. Basic Idea Is That The Top Section Is To Hold A Cigarette Roller, The Middle For Papers/Filters And The Bottom For The Tobacco. The Roller'S A Pretty Snug Fit, Hence No Base In V02. *Update* Well, It Turns Out That Not All Tins Are Created Equal And V02 Was Having Difficulty In Fitting In To Some Due To The Corner Radius Being Too Small. Hence V03 And V04 Came Along. They Are Also Only 24.50Mm High Instead Of 25.00Mm As Some Tins Have A Raised Section In The Base. V03 Is For Those Who Don'T Mind Their Papers/Filters In With The Tobacco (Or Just Want More Room) Wile V04 Still Has The Three Compartments. Oh Yeah, Also Rounded Out The Base Corners In The Tobacco Compartment To Make It Easier To Get The Dust Out. *Further Update -06 Nov 17* Working On An Openscad Version Of This So Will Hopefully Have A Customizable Thing Up Soon. Any Suggestions/Requests Gratefully Appreciated. **Still Working On The Customizable Version But If Anyone Wants An Insert Designed To Their Specs, Drop Me A Line & I'Ll Do What I Can :-) *30 Dec '17* Finally Got Around To Putting The Thumb Cutouts In And It Makes A Huge Difference. I Haven'T Uploaded V06 As I Got The Dimensions A Little Wrong In That One But V07 Seems To Be A Nice All-Round Fit. There Is Only One Compartment As, Over Time, The Central Divider Just Started Annoying Me (Hard To Get Tobacco Out Etc). Dimensions For This Are 106 Mm X 77 Mm X 24 Mm. Depending On The Inner Dimensions Of Your Tin, Just Scale It In Your Slicer To Fit (Desired Dimension - Model Dimension) X 100 = Scale.% *30 Dec '18* Damn, It'S Been A Year, Really? Anyway...Turns Out That I Occasionally Have To Get Filters That Come Singly Instead Of In Strips. The Fact That They Get Buried In The Tobacco Was Just Bugging The Life Outta Me So I Made V08, The One With Two Compartments. On Top Of That, I Finally Figured Out The Minkowski Transformation For Openscad So I'Ve Got A V07 Version For It. Feel Free To Customise Away. The One Thing I'M Not Happy About With This One Is That The Fillet On The Bottom Is Way Too Big. If Anyone Has A Suggestion On How To Reduce It But Yet Keep The Corner Walls At The Same Thickness, Please Let Me Know In The Comments. Ideally, I'D Like To Keep The Fillet Radius To About 5-7Mm.
