This Is A 4-Way Gate Restrictor For The Neo Geo Pocket And Pocket Color. Basically, These Two Games Came With Little Rubber Gates That Allowed 4-Way Play For The 8-Way Stick On The Ngp And Ngpc. It Simply Sits Around The Stick And Prevents The Diagonals From Activating. These Restrictors Are Becoming Hard To Find These Days Unless You Can Locate A New In Box Copy Of One Of These Games. I'D Recommend Printing With Ninjaflex Where Possible As It Will Fit Much Better, Feel More Comfortable, And Be Easier To Insert And Remove. It Will Grip Better To The Various Ngp Shell Finishes Too (Some Are Somewhat Glossy/Slick While Others Are More Matte). Pla Seems To Work Fine In Terms Of Fit And Functionality, If Your Ngp Or Ngpc Has A Glossy Finish, Then A Pla Gate May Not Stay In Place. As An Example, It Pretty Much Pops Right Out Of My Silver Ngp, But Stays Nice And Snug In My Clear Ngpc, Which Has A More Matte Finish. As Of June 2020, I'Ve Uploaded A New Model That Has Not Been Test Fitted With Pla, But The Changes Are Minor So It Should Still Work As-Is. Regardless, Ninjaflex Or Something Similar Is Still Highly Recommended For This. For Anyone Who Printed The Old Design From 2017, I Found That It Was Decent Enough With Ninjaflex So You Probably Don'T Need To Reprint. The Only Minor Change I Made Was Moving Up The Actual Restrictor Layers Inside The Ring A Mm Or Two As I Found That On Some Models Of The Ngpc, Pushing The Restrictor Ring All The Way Down Around The Joystick Blocked Contact With One More More Directions. In Such A Case, Simply Raising The Ring Up A Bit Seemed To Help. The New Print Tries To Take This Into Account And Should Be A More Universal Fit Than Before. If You Don'T Have This Issue With Existing An Print Then You Should Be Good To Go.
