Exakta lenses to Pentax Q adapter with IHAGEE M40 macro tube
Description
Just Got This #135 Sun Telephoto 135Mm F3.8 A Nice 1950S Lens With Exakta Mount. Paid All $4.99 In Thrift Store For It Together With Ihagee Macro Tubes So I Was Anxious To Try It. It Seems The Pentax Q Would Be The Best Candidate. The Flange Focus Distance Of Those Exakta Lenses Is 44.7Mm But Pentax Q Flange Distance Is About 10Mm So My Lens Needs A Tube About 35Mm From The Q In Order To Focus. Now I Could Print A 35Mm Tube With Q Bayonet And Model Exakta Mount On The Other End , But Because Those Lenses Are Heavy, This Would Likely Result In Mechanical Failure In The Exa Complicated Bayonet. A Better Way Is To Reuse One Of Those Ihagee Macro Tubes - These Macro Tubes Are Plentiful And Cheap Because It Is Very Little You Can Do With Them Now - But They Are Multi Sectional With M40X0.75 Thread Between Sections So It Is Easy To Get The Correct Size. So I Decided To Do A Smaller Adapter With Q Bayonet On One Side And Internal M40X0.75 On The Other Side To Accommodate The Few Sections Of Ihagee Tubes That Have Exakta Mount At The End. I Am Very Pleased With The Result!
