Magnetic connector for fan - ROBO3D
Description
I'M Using This Magnetic Holders Since 2 Years And They'Re Doing Great Job For Me. Fast Atachement To The Carriage, Fast Replacement With Other Fans (More Silent Or More Powerfull). An The Main Reason - Fast Access To Hotend. As You Can See - I'Ve Designed Small Holder That Fits Place In Robo R1 Carriage An It'S Fastened With A Single Screw. This Holder Contains Two 6X6 Round Neodyme Magnets That Are Pushed To The Holder'S Holes With Some Unstripped Wire. This Wire Is Soldered To Right Wires In The Printer (Pwm Fan Output On Ramps Board - Same Place As Factory Fan) Fans (40X40Mm) Are Put To It'S Places In Fan Holder. It'S Wires Are Connected In The Same Way As Holder'S, To The Magnets Pushed Into Holes. Some Glue Can Be Used, But It'S Not Necessary If The Printout Is Tight. Printed Pins That Fits Fan Holes Can Be Treated With Tip Of Soldering Iron And Melted To Keep Fan In Place. Funny Thing.. I Wanted Robo 3D Team To See Those Designs Before Others, But It Seems.. They Were Not Interesed In That... So, Now I Want To Share This Idea For Free With The World. Those Models Are Suitable For E3D V5 Head - Longer That Factory One. Better Check If It Will Fits You Before Print. That'S All Folks! Happy Printing, Happy Using. Https://Youtu.Be/Fij-Mz5Ckrg
