Description
This Is Designed To Remove Physical Media From The Aquarium Water. Requires Purchase Of A Pump, Two Suction Cups And Quilt Batting. The Adapters I Made To Hook Into A Vinyl Tube Are For An Aquatop Pump. Instructions 1. Install The Print Labeled Intake Body To A Length Of Vinyl Tubing 2. Cut A Square Of Quilt Batting Approx 4 Inches X 4 Inches. 3. Fold Quilt Batting In Half Twice. 4. Cut Hole In Center Of Quilt Batting About The Size Of A Pencil. 5. Insert The Quilt Batting Over The Center Post Of The Intake Body And Tuck Excess Inside 6. Take A Cover Nut And The Intake Lid Fasten The Lid Down Making Sure To Tuck In All The Quilt Batting. 7. Install A Suction Cup In The Back Of The Intake Body. 8. Install The Intake Adapter On The Other End Of The Tube And Hook To The Intake Of The Pump. 9. Install The Outlet Body On Another Length Of Tube. 10. Take Two Cover Nuts And The Outlet Lid And Fasten The Lid Down Medium Tight. 11. Install The Other End Of The Tube On The Outlet Of The Pump Using The Adapter If Needed. 12. (Optional) While This Was Designed To Be A Submerged In Tank System You Can Use Extra Long Vinyl Tubing And Wrap Excess Tubing Around A Uv Light It Will Kill Bacteria In The Water Helping It To Clear Faster. But Be Sure Not To Expose Your Filter Media To The Uv Radiation As It Will Kill Helpful Bacteria As Well. Also For The Same Reason You Don'T Want To Use This Method On A Tank That Isn'T Established. I Have A 200Gph Pump On It And The Intake Doesn'T Create Much Current (Safer For Fish) The Exit Generates A Nice Gentle Current The Guppies Seem To Love.
