Heat sink for the often neglected X axis motor- Replicator 2X
Description
2Nd Update: I Put A Photo Of The Extruder Motor Heat Sinks As Well I Had To Grind Them Down To 7.5 Mm Tall To Not Collide With The Back. 1St Update: Pic Of Y Axis Motor. Just As Easy And Similar To Extruder Motors. Here Is A Heat Sink I Tried For My X Axis Motor. The Problem For Having A Heat Sink There Is The Limited Space For A Connection. Although Not Ideal, It Does Leak Of A Bit Of Heat And Thus Not Baking That Motor Too Much During Extremely Long Prints. I Used The Heatsinks On The Extruers As Giudes For The Drilling The Holes And Cut A Wedge Out Of One Corner So I Do Not Scrape My Hand On A Sharp Corner While Removing Prints. All Coments And Sugestions Welcome I Do Not Know If Anyone Has Done This Before So I Invite Everyone To Try It And Let Me Know Of Your Improvements. The Stl File And Iges File Is Simply A Game Plan. I Drilled And Machined The 40Mm X 40Mm Heatsink Out Of One I Purchased On Ebay. Dont Forget The Heat Sink Compound. Enjoy
