Description
The Herrnhuter Stern Is A Typical Christmas Decoration Found All Over Germany. The Originals Were Made Out Of Paper And Held Together By Small Pins. This One Is A Bit Different But Has The Same Overall Style. The Models Are Designed To Be Printed In Vase/Surface Mode With Continuous Extrusion. This Makes It Printable On Almost Any Machine. I Printed Them Using Red Colorfab Xt Because Its A Good Color And A Bit More Heat Resistant. Heat Resistant Is Good Because I Used Hot Glue To Hold All The Parts Together And Have A Small Lightbulb Mounted In The Middle. You'Ll Need To Print 17 Of The Larger 4 Sided Points And 8 Of The Smaller 3 Sided Points For A Complete Herrnhuter Star. I Had No Problems Printing These And Overall Print Time Was About 17 Hours. Note: Printing 17 Larger 4 Sided Points Will Leave A Small Opening To Place A Small Light Bulb. To Fully Enclose The Star You Will Need To Print 18 Total.
