'Simples' indoor flying wing parts

Description

Simples Is An Indoor Flying Wing Designed By Mike Bell. Mike'S Plan Is Featured In The April 2018 Issue Of Rcme Magazine. If You'Re Interested Here'S A Quick Video Of 2 Of These Flying Https://Youtu.Be/Sf22Q8C-42S These 3D Printed Parts Were Used To Make Assembly Easier On The Models Mike And Myself Have Built And Flown. Receiver Mounts The Hobbyking Receiver Is Held In By 3 Screws, The Spektrum Receivers Are Held In By 4 Screws. The Spektrum Receivers Have 2 Thicknesses Of Pcb, Make Sure You Print The Right One For Yours. They Are Both Printed In Pla At A Layer Height Of 0.1Mm And 100% Fill. The Screws Came From A Pack Of Spectacle Repair Screws I Obtained From Ebay At A Very Respectable Price. The Mounts Can Be Glued Into The Model Before Fastening In The Receiver. Motor Mounts Mike Used A Brushless Motor And The Radial Mount. I Used The Brushed Parkzone P51 Motor/Gearbox On The Beam Mount. The Radial Mount Will Need Drilling Out For The Correct Hole Spacing. For The Parkzone Motor I Cut Off The Spikes And Drilled The Lugs For A Screw At Each Side And Drilled The Printed Mount To Match, Again Using Small Screws To Hold It Them Together. Both Mounts Are Glued Into Place Before Final Attachment Of The Motors. Both Were Printed In Pla At A Layer Height Of 0.1Mm At 100% Fill Control Horns These Will Need Turning Through 90Deg In Cura To Lie Flat. I Put 6 Onto Cura And Printed Them So I Have A Few Spares If Needed. The Holes Will Probably Need Drilling Out To Suit The Pushrods. Again Printed In Pla At A Layer Height Of 0.1Mm At 100% Fill. Update 02/02/18 - Motor Mount Mk2 (Parkzone) Same Size And Settings As The Original But With The Cut Through For Location On The Inside Edge Rather Than The Middle Which Makes It Easier To Fit :O) Cnc Cut Simples Version Photos - I Only Have A Small Cnc Machine (Table Size 240 X 190Mm) And To Get It Cut On There I'Ve Drawn Simples In Fusion 360 And Split It Into 3 Parts With Jigsaw Type Joints. Yes, I Know It'S Probably Quicker To Cut A Simples From Sheet Depron But Where'S The Fun In That :O) Finished Photos Shows The Colour Scheme. The Sharp Eyed Among You Will Notice The Painted Finished Version Is Different To The Unpainted. A Late Decision To Leave Off The Rudder .... Ok So I Messed Up The Paint Work On The First Version ... The Benefits Of Cnc Cutting, Just Press The Button And Out Pops Another One :O)
