Anet A8 Igus Blocks
Description
I Made These As The 3D Printed Blocks I Had Caused Too Much Binding. These Allow You To Secure The Igus Bushing With 2 Zip Ties, Rather Than Completely Encompassing It. The 2 Versions Present Are As Follows: Aneta8Bedigusblocks.Stl: The Version I Have Printed And Am Currently Using. It Works Well, The Bearings Are Held Securely. The Bed Is A Few Mm Higher Than What I Had, But I'M Fine With That. Aneta8Bedigusblocksv2.Stl: For Added Security, For Those Who Are Concerned About A Bearing Popping Out, This Should Block Them In, At Either End, Whilst They Are Secured With Zip Ties. Aneta8Bedigusblocksv3.Stl: As Per The Update Below, I Have Added In A Part That Should Hit The End Stop Instead Of The Bearing And Keep Things Positioned Correctly. I Have Also Decreased The Side Of The Mounting Screw Holes To Ensure A Tight Fit When Screwing - This Can Always Be Drilled Out If They Are Too Tight. Note: I Haven'T Printed Aneta8Bedigusblocksv2.Stl So Not 100% Sure If It Works As Intended. I Printed Them On End And Opted To Not Use Supports As Any Odd Shaped Holes Helped The Screws Bite. A Bit Of Super Glue Helped Ensure This. Update 01/01/2018: Just An Fyi - I Have Found Out That This Has Altered The Position Of My Print Bed, The Y End Stop Used To Crash Into The Lower Part Of The Block, However This Is Not On This Model, Which Means That The Bed Goes Back A Few Mm Further Until The Bearing Knocks It. This Isn'T A Major Issue If You Never Use Your Full Y Dimension, Or If You Can Alter Your Firmware. However On A Stock A8 I Believe This To Be An Issue. To This End, I Have Included V3, Which Should Sort This Out However As Of This Date I Haven'T Had A Change To Test This Yet. Let Me Know If It Works!
