This Is A Case For Silicon Lab'S Sensor Puck Board See [Sensor Puck](Https://Www.Silabs.Com/Documents/Public/User-Guides/Sensor_Puck_Ug.Pdf) I Am Using This Board With My Own Custom Firmware, Normally The Puck Broadcasts Sensor Info Once Per Second, And The Battery Lasts A Few Days (Maybe A Week). My Firmware Modifies This To Once Per Minute (And Disables The Led After 60 Seconds), So The Battery Lasts About 4 Months (Depending On How Cold It Is). If You Are Interested, I Can Share This Firmware, But The Mods From The Base Firmware Are Simple (If You Know How To Program Silabs Boards). I'Ve Designed This To Use The Sensors Of The Board Outdoors. Note, The Cr2032 Battery Stops Working If The Ambient Temperature Drops Below -20C (I Think The Battery Freezes). You Don'T Want To Know How I Know This. Haven'T Tried It In The Summer Yet. Features: * Venting Hole Above The Temperature/Humidity Sensors. The Holes Are Going Upwards To The Sensor To Avoid Water Getting In, So The Tag Goes At The Top. * 5.3Mm Hole Above The Light Sensor * Drain Holes At The Bottom To Remove Water Possibly Getting Into The Case And To Let Air Circulate. * Hole For On/Off Switch The Board Snaps Onto The Supports In The Lid, And Is Held In Place By Friction. The Top Then Screws Onto The Base, Tightening Until The Light Sensor Aligns With The Tab. *Do Not Over-Tighten*. Battery Is Replaceable If The Board Is Mounted In The Case Just By Removing The Top, And Levering The Board Out Slightly, But The Jtag Port Is Only Accessible By Removing The Board From The Case. I Recommend Removing The Rubber Feet That Come On The Board (They Just Pull Off), But You Can Leave Them On, It Will Fit. Sometimes The Rubber Feet Overhang The Edge Of The Board, And This Can Make It Hard To Screw The Top On (So Adjust/Remove Them). There Is A Tall And A Short Version Of The Bottom, This Makes No Difference To The Internal Space, Just Gives More Thickness To The Base (More Insulation). Update: 16/2/2018 I Have Added A New Base With Room For A 1/2Aa Size Battery. I Used A Battery Holder Https://Www.Mouser.Com/Ds/2/209/Epd-200505-1171181.Pdf And An 14250 Lithium Battery (1200Mah) Which Is Good For Cold Temperatures, And Should Last About 1 Year (Advertising Once Per Minute). You Have To Be Careful About The Wire Routing, As It Will Get Tangled When You Screw The Lid On. I Removed The Rubber Feet To Help With This. Don'T Forget To Remove The Coin Cell! You Can'T Have Two Batteries Connected At The Same Time.
