Computer Power AC Socket Panel Rear Cover
Description
This Is A Rear Cover For A Standard Computer Power (Iec320) Panel Mounted Ac Socket. This Covers The Terminals, So You Won'T Accidentally Touch Them, Or Short Them Out. It Also Gives You Something To Screw Into, So You Don'T Need A Nut To Mount The Socket. I Personally Used It For Mounting The Socket To A Sheet Metal Panel, Though It Could Also Be Used Free Hanging, Like An Extension Cord. Be Aware That There Is No Strain Relief Or Clamp For The Cord, So Use Common Sense (Don'T Tug On The Cord, Etc). The Hole Is For A #4 Screw, Up To ~1" Long (Or Metric Equivalent). There Are Two Different Designs Attached... One With A 0.35" Diameter Hole In The Back (For The Cable To Pass Through), And One With No Hole (Drill It Yourself). The Cover Is 1.25" Deep From The Back Of The Panel, Which Should Be Enough Clearance To Use Crimped Quick Disconnects (Though I Soldered The Wires On Mine, So I Haven'T Verified). The Sketchup Model Is Also Attached, And Could Be Very Easily Modified To Suit Your Specific Needs.
