Expression pedal new bottom part
Description
After Printing The Original Design I Noticed My 10K Lin Potentiometer Didn'T Fit The Design. I Used A Piher Pc16Sh-10Ip06-103A2020 Potentiometer. Therefore I Made This Remix Of Only The Bottom Part. All Other Parts Remain The Same As The Original Design. I Cut The Potentiometer Shaft To 11Mm. The Ribs On The Shaft Hold The Small Gear In Place. Assembly Is Easy: 1. Mount The Potentiometer In Place (Do Not Tighten Nut Yet) 2. Connect Top And Bottom Part By Using The Gear/Shaft Part 3. Drill Holes To Fix The Shaft To The Top Part 4. Mount The Middle Double Gear 5. Move The Top Part All The Way Forward (Toe Position) 6. Turn The Potentiometer Fully Counterclockwise 7. Slide The Small Gear Over The Shaft So It Meets The Larger Gear Without Moving Any Other Parts. 8. When Everything Is In Place And Working, Tighten Potentiometer Nut I Use This As An Expression Pedal For The Keith Mcmillen Softstep 2 Midi Foot Controller. I Therefore Used Potentiometer Value And Connection Used In Roland'S Ev-5. After Calibrating This Pedal In Softstep Advanced Editor I Get A Midi Value Range Of 8 (Heel Position) --> 127 (Toe Position). Connections I Made To Make It Work As The Roland Ev-5: 1/4" Stereo Jack --> 10K Lin Potentiometer Tip (+5V) --> White Wire Ring (Output) --> Red Wire Sleeve (Ground) --> Shield
