Description
This Is An Overhang Test That Go From 30° To 90° From Vertical Axis. This Item Was Used To Help Evaluate Cooling Performance During The Development Of The Diiicooler And Ciiicooler To See How They Performed In Different Directions. [Settings] * Remember, You Want These Prints To Fail(!) Consistently, Default Slicing Settings Are Usually Meant To Get Prints Not To Fail, Which Is Why They Are Not Good For These Tests. (Especially Layer Times) * Be Sure To Keep Your Layer Times As Short As Possible And Your Temperatures At High Settings So That With Your Baseline Cooler, The Cooling Starts Failing At ~60-70° Overhang With Your Settings. * Use 0.2 Mm Layer Height (Preferably). [Directions - Baseline] * Mount The Cooler You Wish To Use As Your Baseline In Your Tests, Find The Correct Combination Of Temperatures, Speeds And Layer Time According To Above [Settings] * Slice The Item In Default Position (0°), Print It And Mark The Direction The Item Was Pointing Towards The Front Of The Printer With A Permanent Marker, And Write Underneath On The Flat Surface What Cooler Was Used (And Settings?). * Slice The Item Again Rotated 45° To The Left Or Right, And Then Print And Repeat Until You Have Done So With 8 Prints In Total (One For Each Direction). [Directions - Comparison] * Mount The Cooler You Wish To Compare The Results For, But "Do Not Change The Slicing Settings From What Was Used In Baseline"! (Remember, Settings Should Be Consistent So That The Only Difference Is The Actual Cooler Used!) * Just Repeat The Above Procedure Until You Got The 8 Pieces Printed With The New Cooler. * Flip The Items Around And You Should Now Be Able To Have A Great Comparison While Developing Your Cooler Or Finding Out How Good Others Are.
