Filmholder for Epson V600
Description
This Is A 35Mm Fillm Holder For The Epson V600. It May Work On Others But I Have Not Tested On Any Other Scanner. I Process My Own Film And Trying To Get The Film Curl Flat On The Oem Holder Was Driving Me Nuts. Using This One, There Is A Visible Improvement In Focus Compared To The Holder I Got With The Scanner. Maybe That Is Just Operator Error (Me). I Can Say That Using This One Speeds Up My Scanning Considerably Because I Am Not Constantly Fiddling With The Film To Get It Flat. I Printed Two And Have One Loaded And Standing By To Swap Out, Which Helps Even More. There Are Four Parts: The Main Film Holder, Two Swiveling Glass Clamps, And An Optional Corner Section With The Recessed Square (Calibration?) Mirroring That Section Of The Original Film Holder From Epson. The Rectangular Holes In The Corner Piece Are Just For Saving Filament And Print Time. I Do Not Use The Optional Piece During Scanning, But Include It Here Anyway. In Additional, You Will Need Four Screws For The Clamps. I Used Short 4Mm Bevel Headed Screws. An Equivalent Would Would Be Four 3/16 Inch (#8) Screws. I Will Probably Buy Some Nylon Screws To Replace These, But I Haven'T Had Any Problem With Scratching In 20 Rolls Of Film Scanning. Make Sure The Screws Do Not Protrude Through The Base To Touch The Scanner Glass. You Will Also Need A Piece Of Glare-Free Glass. I Got Mine From Betterscanning.Com: Http://Www.Betterscanning.Com/Scanning/Insert35.Htm I Have No Affiliation With Better Scanning, But What I Have Ordered From Them Has Been Excellent Quality.
