Description
I Have An Older Set Of Walkie-Talkies (Motorola Talkabout) Radios That I Use Occasionally While Out 4X4Ing. I Typically Use A Cb Radio But On Occasion Someone In The Group Does Not Have A Cb And Will Use A Frs Or Gmrs Radio. So I Made A Holder That Fits Onto A Typical Phone Mount Ball That Keeps The Radio Within Easy Reach. The Radio Has An Odd Shape And Sits Loosely In The Holder. So I Added A Bit Of Sticky Backed Foam (Like For A Door Seal) Which Makes The Radio Fit Snuggly Into The Holder. The Tightening Knob Uses An 8-32 X 1 1/4" Hex Head Machine Bolt And 8-32 Nut. You May Have To Break The Edges On The Handle And Ball Mount With A Razor Knife To Get The Bolt To Fit And To Get The Mount To Snap Onto The Ball. The Holder Is Shown Attached To An M-Pow Cd Phone Mount Ball.
