Small Drape Molds (Flower, Octagon, Hexagon)

Description

These Are A Set Of Small Drape Molds I Use To Make Little Ceramic Dishes- By Smoothing A Slab Down Over Them And Cutting Around (To Form A Rim). Clay Sticks To Plastic While It'S Wet, But, I Personally Have Not Needed A Mold Release With These- I Simply Let Them Sit On The Molds Until They'Re Dry Enough To Gently Pop Off. This Takes About 12-24 Hours For Me, I Try To Grab Them Right Before They'Re Leather Hard. Leave Them On Too Long And The Dish Will Crack As The Clay Shrinks Around The Mold, So Be Careful. Use A Mold Release (One That'S Safe For Your Materials) If You'D Like To Work Faster- Or Find You Need It. In The Interest Of Speed, I Don'T Bother Optimizing Print Quality Much. It'S Pretty Easy To Smooth Any Layer Lines That Transfer To The Clay, And Sometimes They'Re Interesting Enough To Leave Alone. These Can Also Be Used As Pop-Up Molds (Push Cut Slab Into Foam To Form A Dish), And I Imagine They'D Work Well For Other Types Of Clay With The Right Release Agents.
