This Is A Challenge My Daughter And I Made To Create A 3D Printer Entirely From Scratch And Without Buying Anything. All Of The Parts Are Custom So I Don'T Expect This Will Work For Many Other People, But I Was Very Pleased With How Quite And Reliable This Machine Turned Out To Be. We Had To Use A Lead Screw On The Y Axis Because It'S What We Had And Because The Bed Weighs About 4Lbs, But With Proper Oiling And Isolation Between The Aluminum Parts, It'S About The Same Volume As A Prusa Mk2.
