Anet A8 Clip On Modular X Carriage - E3D v6 Bowden

Description

Work In Progress - Prototype I Wouldn'T Recommend Printing This Quite Yet, But I Thought I'D Go Ahead And Post My Wip To See If There'S Any Interest. Personally, I'M Annoyed By All Of The Screws I Have To Screw And Unscrew Every Time I Want To Tweak My X Carriage, Try Some New Bearings, Remove My Hotend To Clean It, Try A Different Z Axis Sensor. Or Doing 10 Hour Prints Multiple Times Because Everything Is All One Piece... So, I Had The Idea The Other Night To Make Everything Clip On / Hinge / Removeable / Swappable. So That'S What I'M Currently Working On. After I Get Designs Of Parts Done, I'Ll Go Through A Testing Phase And See What Works And What Doesn'T. In The Mean Time, Anyone Else Think This Is A Good Idea? **Update 2/26/2018** My Testing Has Been Temporarily Put On Hold. The X-Carriage I Was Using Was Messing With My X-Axis, So I Switched To A Different Carriage And When Removing The Cheap Bearings That Came With The A8, The Balls Started Falling Out All Over. Replaced Them With Igus Polymer Bearings And They'Re Sticking Like Crazy, Causing Layer Shift. So I Have New Bearings On Order That Probably Won'T Arrive Until Next Week. **Update 2/19/2018** Almost Done With My Initial Designs Before I Start Testing. The Remaining Incomplete Part Is To Hold The Cooling Fan. Still Debating On Whether I Am Going To Do An Attachment For The Actual Cooling Or Just Try To Allow Integration Of Existing Ones.
