My Compact Arduino Boxes
Description
I Remixed My Arduino Boxes. And T70E’S Gopro Mounts. My Arduino Boxes Are A Little More Compact Now. And The Boxes All Have Open Tops And Bottoms. You Will Need 2 Lids Per Box, One On The Top And One On The Bottom. And I Included Some Gopro Mounts For Easy Mounting. I Searched For “Bolt Nut Screws For Gopro” On Ebay And Bought Some Long Thumb Screws. They Work Great With This Mount And Box Combination. If You Don'T Want To Use The Gopro Screws Then An 8-32 X 3/4 Works Just As Well. You'Ll Need A Screwdriver Though. Better For An Unseen, Permanent Mount. In The Pictures, The Black Prints And The White Prints Are Petg, The Dark Blue Prints Are Pla, And The Light Blue Prints Are Abs. When Planning A Project, I Wouldn’T Mix Different Filament Prints The Way I Did In The Pictures. That Was For Demonstration Only. Keep Petg Printed Parts Together. Keep Abs Parts Together. And Keep Pla Parts Together. That Way Everything Will Fit Together Properly. The Boxes Are 30Mm X 60Mm X 18Mm Tall. Placing A Lid On The Top And Bottom Brings It Up To 20Mm. Assembled, They Are 30X60X20. There Are 12 Box And 8 Lid Options Here In Total. I Have 3 Styles Of Single Boxes, And 2 Styles Of Double Boxes With Side Cut Outs For Nano Access. Single Box, No Gopro Mount Single Box, Single Gopro Mount (Top) Single Box, Double Gopro Mount (Top And Bottom) Double Box, Single Gopro Mount (Top) Double Box, Double Gopro Mount (Top And Bottom) I Have 3 Styles Of Single Boxes, And 2 Styles Of Double Boxes Without Side Cut Outs For Nano Access. Single Box, No Gopro Mount Single Box, Single Gopro Mount (Top) Single Box, Double Gopro Mount (Top And Bottom) Double Box, Single Gopro Mount (Top) Double Box, Double Gopro Mount (Top And Bottom) I Made One More Box. This One Is 30 X 60 X 15Mm Tall With A 2Mm Closed Bottom. No Gopro Mounts. This Little Box Will Hold One Nano (In The Lid) And That’S About All That Will Fit. I Made Two Of These, One With The Nano Access Hole And One Without. The Box Without Is Completely Closed, So You Will Need To Drill Your Own Access Holes For Wiring. There Is A 3Mm Hole Next To The Nut Side Of Each Gopro Mount, With A Knockout For A 6Mm Hole. It Makes A Nicer Looking Finished Project, But You Have To Wire In Place. With The Side Cut Outs You Can Pre-Wire And Drop In. Fast And Easy Or Slower And Better Looking. I Had A Problem With The Double Boxes Letting Go Of The Build Plate Mid Print, So I Added A Small Brim Running Down The Middle To Help With Bed Adhesion. Trim Away Post Print. I Have 8 Different Lids. A – Arduino Nano – Or Arduino Pro Mini. There Is A Stop At The Back And An Indent In The Front. You Have To Push Past The Indent, Then It Will Lock The Nano Into Place. The Pro Mini Will Slide Around A Little. Solder Your Wires First, Angle Them Inboard A Little Bit, Then Slide It In. Hc-Sr04 – This Lid Will Hold One Hc-Sr04 Ultrasonic Sensor. The 2 Holes Might Be A Little Tight And Need To Be Sanded Slightly. This Is The Reason I Designed These Boxes With An Open Back Side. I Can Mount An Hc-Sr04 In The Front, And An Arduino Nano (Or Pro Mini) In The Back Lid. Both Will Fit Into A Single Box. You Will Have To Fold Over The 4 Pins On The Hc-Sr04. And I Threw A Small Piece Of Electrical Tape In There To Make Sure They Keep Separated. It Does Get A Little Tight After Wiring, But Still Very Do-Able. Relay – These Boxes Are Too Small For The Relay Module Boards, But, 2 Tiny Blue Relays Will Fit Just Fine. Or – One Relay And One Screw Terminal. Stop Laughing At My Solder Job – It Was Late. You Will Need 2 Relay Lids, One For The Top And One For The Bottom. They Sandwich The Relays Into Position. I Used The Arduino Relay Schematic Here: Http://Www.Instructables.Com/Id/Arduino-Relay-Circuit/ - Minus The Indicating Led. Pir – This Lid Will Hold One Pir Unit, And Nothing Else Will Fit Into The Box. You Will Need A Couple Of Drops Of Super Glue On The 2 Pins. This Helps With The Rigidity Of This Lid Because It Is Pretty Thin And Weak On The Edges Of The Circle Cut Out. I Enlarged The Circle Cut Out Slightly, From My Arduino Boxes, So I (We) Don’T Have To Fight It Anymore. Lm-2596 – This Lid Will Hold One Lm-2596 Dc-Dc Voltage Converter, And Nothing Else Will Fit Into The Box. 1 Led – (1) 5Mm Hole For An Led 2 Led’S – (2) 5Mm Holes For Led’S Blank – Just A Blank Cover Here Is A File List And Descriptions: 1B 0Gp Oh 1 Bay, 0 Gopro Mounts, 0 Nano Access Holes 1B 0Gp 2H 1 Bay, 0 Gopro Mounts, 2 Nano Access Holes 1B 1Gp Oh 1 Bay, 1 Gopro Mounts, 0 Nano Access Holes 1B 1Gp 2H 1 Bay, 1 Gopro Mounts, 2 Nano Access Holes 1B 2Gp Oh 1 Bay, 2 Gopro Mounts, 0 Nano Access Holes 1B 2Gp 2H 1 Bay, 2 Gopro Mounts, 2 Nano Access Holes 2B 1Gp Oh 2 Bays, 1 Gopro Mounts, 0 Nano Access Holes 2B 1Gp 2H 2 Bays, 1 Gopro Mounts, 2 Nano Access Holes 2B 2Gp Oh 2 Bays, 2 Gopro Mounts, 0 Nano Access Holes 2B 2Gp 2H 2 Bays, 2 Gopro Mounts, 2 Nano Access Holes These Two Boxes Are 15Mm Tall With A 2Mm Bottom. The Originals Fit Very Tight Even Without The Screw, And I Was Concerned About Breaking Boxes. I Made All The Slots 3Mm Wide And Everything Fits Well Now. Depending On Your Print Setup, The Lids Might Fit Slightly Loose Into The Boxes. I Have Some That Fit Tight And Some That Slide Out. You Can Heat Up The Legs And Spread Them Out A Little Bit. Or Once You Are All Done With Your Project You Can Just Glue The Lid Onto The Box.
