CNC2417 Motor mount
Description
This Is A Replacement Bearing And Motor Holder For The Z Axis Of A Cnc 2417 Router. Specifically It Hold 2 - 8Mm X 15Mm X 45Mm Linear Bearings, The Drive Screw Nut And A 42Mm Dia Motor. From The Photos You Can See Where My Original Part Failed, A Weakness Due To The Screw Holes Along With A Low Percentage Fill Caused It To Break At The Thinnest Part. Getting The Correct Measurements For Bearing Centres Etc. Wasn'T Difficult, I'Ve Included My Measurements On Here So You Can See If They Are The Same As Yours. Careful Measurement Of The Z Axis Holder With The Two 8Mm Shafts In Place Have Resulted In These Sizes. I Measured The Outside Size Of The 8Mm Rods Along With The Inside Size And Subtracted 8Mm To Give Me The Distance Between Centres. This Was Done Several Times At Both Ends Of The Z Axis Holder Where The Rods Poke Out. My Size Is 38.50Mm And Works For My Machine. My Drawing Have Been Produced On Fusion 360 And I'Ve Incuded The Fusion 360 File As Well So If You Want To Put It Apart And Pull Your Own Hole Centres Etc. In It Feel Free. I Haven'T Put Holes For Screws To Hold The Nearings In Place As I Feel That With The Motor In Place And Screws Tightened To Hold It The Bearings With Be Secure. If They Loosen I'Ll Drill And Tap A Small Hole At The Back Of Each Bearing And Add A Grub Screw To Hold Them. The Bearing Holes Are An Accurate 15Mm Dia, My Printer Seems To Produce Slightley Smaller Holes So When The Print Was Complete I Used A 15Mm Drill Bit And Ran It Through The Printed Hole To Clean It Out. The Holes For The Screws And Bolts Holding The Drive Screw Nut Are Printed At 2Mm Dia And Will Need Drilling Out To Match Whatever Size Screws You Are Using. You Will Need 2 M4 X 20Mm Bolts And Matching Nuts To Tighten Everything Up And Hold The Motor In Place. There Is A Recess For The Nuts To Hold Them When Tightening.
