Whoover Light Weight Frame

Whoover Light Weight Frame

Description

This Is A Tried And Tested Tiny Whoov Frame I Designed (For Those Who Do Not Know, A Tiny Whoov Or Whoover Is A Small Hovercraft Made From Quadcotper Parts). *New* - 7Mm Motor Variant Added! This Design Is Intended To Be Used In Combination With A Piece Of Foam Board To Allow For A Very Lightweight Frame But Also Easy And Accurate Assembly. The 3D Printed Main Plate Combined With The Motor Towers Allows For A Very Rigid And Strong Frame That Can Take Hit After Hit. In Addition, This Design Can Be Used Universally With Different Whoov Shapes And Sizes. It Is, However, Intended To Be Used With Inductrix Sized Flight Controllers With The Provided Holes. Other Flight Controllers Can Be Used But May Not Be Able To Use The Holes In The Design. Files That Do Not Specify Size Are Designed To Fit 6Mm Motors And The Files With "7Mm" At The End Will Fit 7Mm Motors. I Have Also Included The Stl For A Propeller Guard That Is Intended To Fit Onto A Motor. This Will Help Reduce Propeller Strikes With Nearby Objects. I Am Not Currently Using This Part Because My Current Whoov'S Body Is Large Enough To Hit An Object Before A Propeller Can. This Part Should Be Printed In A Harder Filament Because Squishy Filaments Will Squish Upon Impact And The Propeller May Still Hit The Object. To Attach The Motor Towers You Can Use Acetone Welding (For Pla), Superglue, Or Pretty Much Any Other Bonding Technique That Works With Your Filament. I Used Superglue Combined With My Pla Print. The Motors On My Whoov Do Get Hot, And So I Decided To Reinforce My Motor Mounts For The Lifting Motors With Zip Ties As Shown In The Picture. Feedback Is Welcome!
