Axle spacer endcaps for Hope Pro 2 EVO rear hubs

I'M Constantly Looking At My Bikes And Thinking _"What Else Can I Do With A 3D Printer?"_ **Disclaimer**: Just Like Everything Else On Thingiverse, This Is Provided Without Any Warranty, And If You Don'T Feel Comfortable Actually Using This Printed Part, Then You Probably Shouldn'T Bother Printing It. That Said, I'M Only Printing Parts That I Feel Are Safe Enough To Put On My Own Bike. This Is My Latest Experiment... Replacing The Aluminum Spacer Endcaps On The Hope Pro 2 Evo Rear Hub With 3D Printed Parts. I'Ve Got The Hub With A 142X12 Through-Axle Setup, And I Wanted To Try That Wheel On A Bike With An Older 135Mm Quick Release Rear Axle. Thankfully With The Hope Hubs It'S Just A Matter Of Pulling Off The Endcaps And Swapping Them Out, But I Don'T Have The 135Qr Endcaps - So Let'S Try _Printing Them Up!_ I Took A Series Of Measurements From The Existing Aluminum 142X12 Endcaps, And Then Replicated Them In Sketchup. (I Really Need To Learn Freecad Or Fusion360 Because Dealing With The Non-Parametric Modeling In Sketchup Is Annoying When Small Changes Are Needed) After I Printed Them Up And Checked Fitting, I Resized The 142X12 Endcaps To Work With A 135Xqr Axle. (10Mm Outer Diameter In The Dropouts With 5Mm Quick Release Skewer) I Also Realized That I Had A Dt Swiss 10Mm Through-Axle, So I Printed That Up (135X10Mm) And Am Currently Using That. _What Happens If They Fail?_ When Printing Bike Parts, The Big Thing To Consider Is What Happens When They Fail. These Axle Spacers Aren'T In Simple Compression Like My [Fork Lower Crown Race](Https://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:2032808) But They Do Still Have An Axle Going Through Them In The Case Of The 142X12 Through Axle Version, So Worst Case, They Crush And The Alignment Of Your Gears Or Brake Disk Is Off And The Axle Isn'T Tight. With A Quick Release You Will Lose Tension In The Skewer And The Wheel Will Shift In The Dropouts, With The _Possibility_ That It Might Hop Out. Having The Wheel Hop Out Of The Dropouts Would Be Quite Bad, But When I Failed An Early Prototype Accelerating Hard On Parts With Less Than 100% Infill, The Wheel Just Shifted And The Tire Dragging On The Frame Informed Me That Ride Was Over. So Yeah, If You Print And Use These And They Fail, Well, Yeah, Things Can Go Badly. Up To You If You Feel This Is Acceptable. For Me On A Bike I Just Cruise Around Town? Not A Problem. Wouldn'T Take These Parts On A Cross-Country Trip Or A Downhill Run.
