Wall Mount for Philips Hue Hub 2.1

Wall Mount for Philips Hue Hub 2.1

Description

Simple Mount Plate That Uses One (Or Several) 3M Command Strip Adhesive Tapes To Mount The Hue Hub In A Convenient Location On The Wall. The Hub Sits Very Flush Against The Plate Because There Are Recesses For The Rubber Anti-Skid Pads To Sit In. In Fact, This Prevents The Hub From Popping Off The Mounting Stud. As You Slide The Hub Down Over The Mounting Stud, You Will Hear The "Feet" Click Into The Recesses. To Remove The Baseplate, The Baseplate Will Have To Be Bowed A Little So The Feet Come Out Of The Recesses, Allowing The Hub To Be Lifted Off The Mounting Stud. I Put My Command Tape Centered Under The Stud, So It Will Be Difficult To Remove. I Should Have Put Two Command Tapes At The Analog Clock Positions Corresponding To 10:30 And The 1:30 Positions. This Way The Mounting Plate Will Bow Outwards By Pulling The Hub Gently Away From The Wall, Then Sliding It Up Off The Mounting Stud Once The Rubber Feet Are Clear Of The Recesses. The Mounting Stud Can Be Fragile, So I Made It So You Can Put A 5Mm Long 3Mm Or 2.5Mm Machine Screw And Nut Through It To Keep It From Snapping Off. Once The Hub Is Removed, The Baseplate Can Be Un-Mounted By Gently Pulling On The Command Tape Tab(S) In The Center Hole Of The Baseplate, Causing The Tape To Slowly Release From The Wall Without Causing Any Damage.
