The impossible dovetail puzzle box
Description
Dovetail Puzzle Box. Clearance Between The Two Pieces Is 0,15Mm. You Need An Accurate Printer For This Tolerance But The Spacing Will Be Perfect, So That You Won'T Be Able To See The Steel Ball, Which Is Responsible For The Locking Mechanism. I Had Made A 0,3 Clearance Model First. It Will Fit Easier But Due To The Bigger Spacing The Steel Ball Can Been Seen If Looking Into The Spacing Directly, Which Destroys The Tinkering Quite A Bit. The Magnet Needs To Be Placed On 4.68Mm Z-Height. Place The M0 Command In The G-Code Before This Line Or Pause Manually Or Place The Magnet While Printing. There Is Quite Some Time While The Printer Is Printing The Infill (Or Simply Slow Down The Print). To Complete This Puzzle You'Ll Need: 11Mm Steel Ball 8X3 Neodym Magnet Caution: The Nozzle Usually Is A Magentic Material, So The Nozzle Tyoically Would Attract The Magnets. The Magnet Holes Have 8.3Mm Diameter. In My Case They Simply Don'T Fall Into The Whole And I Have To Push Them In With Some Force, Which Is Good, So That The Nozzle Is Not Able To Attract The Magnet ;-) If The Hole Tends To Become To Big, So That The Magnet Is Not Beeing Hold In Place Well, Use A Drop Of Hot Glue Or Something Similar To Fix The Magnet During Printing.
