C270 Camera Mount Support Arm

C270 Camera Mount Support Arm

Description

This Is The Mounting Arm I Designed To Go With The C270 Camera Mount (Https://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:2816919) Made With Crystal Series Petg - Yellow From Maker Geeks The 40% Infill Fast Honeycomb Pattern Combined With The Shape Make This Very Strong And Lightweight. However, Due To An Issue I Am Still Learning About In Fusion 360 And Simplify3D, The Mounting Post Is Not Being Printed Through To The Bottom Of The Base But Rather Only Joined To The Top Layers Of The Base. This Is The Weak Spot On This Mount But It Is More That Strong Enough To Hold The Camera Although Be Careful Removing The Camera And Tightening The Height Adjustment Screw. 03/31/2018 - Update: The Previous Design Of The Support Arm Failed After About 100 Hours Of Printing Due To Vibration And The Mounting Post (On The Support Arm Being To Narrow). I Increased The Diameter Of The Post And Remodeled It To Go All The Way Through The Base. The New Version Of The Support Arm Is V44 (Much, Much Stronger). This Also Required Me To Redesign The Camera Mount (New Version Is V14) By Increasing The Diameter Of The Mounting Tube To Fit On The New Support Arm. C270 Camera Mount: Https://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:2816919 Notes: 1.) The Attached Gcode File Was Made Using Simplify3D, Setup For The Prusa Mk3, Includes The Supports, And Temperatures Are Set For Maker Geeks Crystal Series Petg. 2.) You'Ll Want To Re-Orient The Model So That The Bottom Is On The Print Bed. 3.) After Mounting The Support Arm To Your Printer, Verify That The Y-Axis Can Move Freely Before Printing. You May Need To Back Off The Mounting Arm A Little After Putting It All The Way Onto The Print Bed.
