Antenna Mast from Tripod and Fishing Pole

Antenna Mast from Tripod and Fishing Pole

Description

I Made These Parts To Attach My 20' Shakespeare Fishing Pole To A $20 Homedepot Tripod (Husky #K9028). I Removed The Inner Pole (Through The Bottom) And Broke Off The Threaded Plastic Bits At The Top Of The Outer Pole. The Tripod Base Has A Hold That Can Be Threaded For A 10-24 Screw To Hold It Rigid At The Base Of The Tripod. The Tripod Top Slips Over The Top Of The Tripod Pole. I Made The Internal And External Fit Snug On This Part To Help Make The Whole Thing More Rigid. I Cut About 29" Of 1-1/2" Schedule 40 Pvc Pipe To Slip Over Both Of This. The Fishing Pole Slips Into The Top Of The Pvc Pipe. Two Of The Pole_Top_Half Parts Are Used To Hold The Pole In The Pvc. I Printed Both Parts At Once. There Is A Hole For A 10-24 Screw. I Used A Tap To Thread The Hole. I Included The Scad File To Tune It To Whatever You'Ve Got. I'M Thinking I'Ll Probably Just Make My Own Tripod Next Time. I Plan On Using This With A Pole Support ( Https://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:856305 ) And I'Ll Probably Make Some Clamps To Hole Wires And/Or Lock The Telescoping Sections When I Get Time. Added A Picture From Today'S Cal Qrp Meeting On Denny'S Deck Where We Set Up A 20M Dipole On The Deck Using The Bnc Dipole Top Section From One Of My Other Projects
