Glasses / Frames for prescription or shaded lenses
Description
My Friend Broke His Glasses But The Lenses Were Intact So I Designed Up These Frames To Be Able To Just Clip His Existing Prescription Lenses In Quickly And Easily. But You Could Put Any Lenses In Which Will Fit Really. I'Ve Included An Image Showing The Measurements. The Arm Hinges Are Connected To The Frames By Just Putting A 1Cm Long Bit Of Paper Clip Through The Hinge And Applying A Drop Of Glue To The Top Hole. There Are Three Small Clips To Also Be Glued On After Printing Which Create The Slots The Lenses Will Sit Within To Stop Them Falling Out. I Have Included An Image Pointing Where Each One Slots On. These Can Just Be Secured With A Small Drop Of Super Glue. The Base Of The Frames Is Designed To Flex So That The Lenses Can Be Put In Or Taken Out Easily While Still Remaining Secure Once In. Out Of All The Files Included You Will Need To Print: * 1 X Frames * 1 X Arms * 2 X Clip Bottom * 2 X Clip Nose * 2 X Clip Side For Assembly You Will Also Require: * Super Glue Or Similar * 2 X 1Cm Off-Cuts From A Paper Click For The Hinges * Optionally, Something Soft To Glue To The Nose Bridge To Make It More Comfortable Or To Raise How High They Sit On Your Nose. I Glued On Some Cotton From Cigarette Filters. I Did Not Use Any Supports Or Brim Or Anything As It Ruins The Finish. Instead I Just Used A Glue Stick On The Bed To Make Sure The Thinner Parts Remained Stuck Down For The Duration Of The Print. All In All It Took Me About 1 Hour To Print A Complete Set And About 15 Minutes To Glue On The 6 Clips And Attach The Arms. I Have Included Obj Files And Freecad Files Should You Want To Modify Anything.
