Prusa i3 MK3 Part Cooling Fan Duct Remix
Description
Simple Remix From Kevinthegoalie'S Remix Of Robogenius'S Fabulous Mk2/2S Blower Fan Duct. All I Did Was Add A "Rib" Down The Center Of Each Air Channel To Provide Support For The Top Layers As They Print. My Attempts To Print Kevinthegoalie'S Version In Asa And Petg Would Droop Quite A Bit & Wound Up With A Lot Of Filament Loops Inside The Part That I Couldn'T Easily Remove. Probably Wouldn'T Have Hurt Anything To Use One Of Those, But I Decided To Make This Mod & Print It. Worked Fairly Well. No Drooping On The Top Layers. Mission Accomplished. Common Wisdom Suggests Using Abs/Asa, Or At The Very Least, Petg For This Part. I Made The Robogenius Duct From Makergeeks' Raptor Htpla, Annealed It In The Oven & It Lasted Over 6+ Months Of Heavy Use Before I Sold My Mk2S. Am I Guaranteeing You Will Have The Same Luck? Heck, No. But If You Have An Htpla Around, And No Petg/Abs/Asa/Pc/Nylon, You Could Give It A Go. At Your Own Risk. :-) This Time, I Went With Asa, Because Asa Is Cool. Cooler Than Fezzes, Even. Edit: I Was Not 100% Satisfied With The Fitment Of This Part In Its Original State. I Made A Few Minor Adjustments & Found A Much Easier Fitment. Adding That File As An Option. (Differences: Moved The Mounting Hole Up 1Mm & Shaved 1-2Mm Off The Rib In The Middle Of The Area Where The Fan Duct Connects To The Fan.) Note: I Use A Non-Standard Nozzle That Is A Tiny Bit Taller Than The Standard E3Dv6. If You Find The "Easy Fit" Duct Sits Too Low On A Standard E3Dv6, Please Let Me Know And I Will Try To Make A Few More Adjustments. It Sits Several Mm Above My Tungsten Nozzle, So I *Think* It Should Be Ok With The Stock Nozzles.
