System to Convert JGAurora A5 to Direct Drive
Description
These Parts Allow You To Eliminate The Troublesome Bowden Setup On The Jgaurora A5 And Use The E3D/Titan Hotend Extruder System. Using A Pancake Stepper Motor, You Only Gain About 200 Grams If You Also Add The Scorpion Part Cooling System. I Slightly Modified The Lower Part Of The Scorpion To Reach The Hotend And Kept The Fan Mounting Part The Same. Https://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1856623. Thanks Onebaldman For A Great Print! I Used Standoffs To Hold The Part Cooler In Place. The Standoffs Are Mounted To The Bolts That Hold The Two Molded Parts For Mounting The Titan Together. I Bought A Standoff Kit From Amazon. Mount The Adjustable X Stop Screw Holder To The Top Of The Left X Axis Bracket With The Screw That Held That Sheet Metal Part In Place. Use An M4 Screw As The Adjustable Stop. Your Wire Loom Will No Longer Have To Fit Up Into The Top Cutout Of The Frame. You Will Only Lose A Small Amount Of Travel. I Still Have 285, 280, And 300 (X,Y,Z) Mm Of Travel. The Portion Of The Titan Mount That Has The Series Of Holes Can Be Used To Wire Tie The Wire Loom To It. Also, You Can Mount A Bltouch To It. I Saw This Idea On Another Mount For A Different Machine And Thought It Was A Good Idea. The Main Parts Of The Mount Were All Completely Designed By Me In Autodesk Fusion. Those Parts Are For Personal Use Only And Cannot Be Used As Made Or As Derivatives In Commercial Ventures.
