Large Capacity Hard Disk Drives (~8 Tb And Greater), Such As Those Manufactured By Seagate And Western Digital, Employ An Alternate Bottom-Side Mounting Screw Arrangement That Is Not Compatible With The Mounting Hole Arrangement On Antec Sonata Iii Drive Trays. This Adapter Plate Will Permit Such Large Capacity Hard Disks To Be Mounted Onto The Sonata Iii Drive Tray (And Possibly Trays Provided By Other Manufacturers). The Following Items Will Be Required In Order To Mount A Drive Using This Adapter: - Two (2) #6-32 Unc Hex Nuts - Two (2) #6-32 Unc X 1/4" Screws - Four (4) #6-32 Unc X 1/2" Screws The Adapter Plate Can Be Installed Using The Following Instructions: 1. Orient The Adapter Plate With The Hex Nut Receptacles Facing Upwards. Place A Hex Nut Within Each Of The Two Receptacles. 2. Align The Two Rear Pair Of Holes On The Adapter Plate With The Respective Set Of Holes On The Drive Tray. The Drive Tray Should Be Situated Below The Adapter Plate. 3. Secure The Adapter Plate To The Drive Tray Using A Two (2) #6-32 Unc X 1/4" Screws. (The Screws Should Be Screwed Into The #6-32 Unc Hex Nuts.) 4. The Pairs Of Holes At The Front And The Rear Of The Adapter Plate Should Now Correctly Align With The Holes On The Underside Of The Drive. Secure The Drive To The Adapter Plate Using Four (4) #6-32 Unc X 1/2" Screws. (The Screws Should Be Screwed Into The Drive.)
