D-mount to MFT adapter(WIP)
Description
Update 02.06.2021 - I Uploaded My Fusion360 Project Files - I Don'T Own The Mft Mounts Used For It - Note That My Model Was Made To Be Printable Without Supports But That Might Cause Issues With Some Lenses - So To Adapt It For Your Needs You May Need Supports When Printing. D Mount On Mft Will Never Cover The Full Image - I Used It On A Smaller Sensor (Ds16) And It Didn'T Cover Half Of It With An Old D8 Zoom Lens. V1 Does Not Fit The Active Mft - No Clearance For The Conection Pins V2 Has The Screw Left Handed And Therefore Is Unusable V3 Does Work For Now, But Has Focus Issues. -Now Features Alignment Dot(Not Red) So.... This Adapter Will Adapt D-Mount Lenses To Micro Four Thirds(Mft/M34). It Is Not Done Yet, But The First Iteration That Works. I Found It Really Difficult To Screw Lenses In The Front, While It'S Easy To Screw Them Into The Back - I Don'T Yet Know Why. I Tried To Compensate For The Flange Distance, But It Still Not Focuses... Only Closeup When Zoomed In For The Lens I Got, So The Plane Of Focus Isn'T Correct Yet. I Might Need More Lenses To Test This. D-Mount Has A Giant Crop. On My Bmpcc(Super16 Equiv) It Has Major Vignetting And Can Possible Only Be A 720P Crop At Best. Might Work On A Lumix/Olympus Stills Better For Higher Resolution After Crop. Should Work On Gh4/Gh5 With Video, If You Can Set It To Only Use The Sensor In The Correct Place. D-Mount Lenses Were Used For Normal-8(Sometimes Double 8) Analog Movie Cameras. Such As Bolex D-8L. The Model Needs To Be Printed With Supports, Even Supports On The Model For The Little Fins Of The Mft Mount. I Printed The Largest Surface On The Print Bed(See Images). I Advise At Least 0.1Mm Resolution For This Print To Get The Screw Working.
