PowerBucket Hiper Mega Max Pro Plus+

Intro
The PowerBucket is an innovative product designed by experienced engineers with years of experience. It features which weren't featured anywhere else! Come and DIY your own product of the present future!!!

Features
Simple and easy construction of a very useful and up to date product which is a necessity in modern world. It features a large capacity which allows forgetting about chargers at all. This capacity is also customizable for your needs and capabilities.

The PowerBucket features maximum output of 18W using PowerDelivery and QuickCharge3.0 protocols which are also for charging PowerBucket. It has 2 USB type A's output ports to charge anything you desire to charge with it. USB Type C is not only as output but also as input to charge PowerBucket as well. In addition it has microUSB on the side for charging, which was a nightmare to design a hole for. For more electrical specs please see the modules datasheet.

To indicate the state of charge of the HQ cells I have design the case to reflect 4 LEDs which are nicely visible while in use. To activate the product we designed a extraordinary button - this was never done before.

Most importantly, the product is a DIY creations so you will have to make it yourself, for some individuals like me it is important and satisfactory point.

Parts
In order to prepare well for this project you will need 3D printed parts:
x1 Bottom case
x1 Top case with picked text
x4 screwcaps
x1 Button

And some hardware parts:
x1 IP5328P Module
x4 or x6 screws, depending on a setup, more on that below
x1 some wire, possibly as thick as possible, I used 20AWG
x1 up to x6 18650 cells and skill to join them

Wire, you may use anything that is rated for few amps and fit the case, I used 20AWG, very short pieces of wire which certainly are lying around a house
Spot welder, certainly not the best but will do the job
0.1mm Nickel Plated Strip, Pure nickel strip would be better
Screws, plastic ones, like in the picture

Assembly
Do however you like but consider doing in below order since I have spent some time writing it:

Join 18650 cells in parallel using hot glue, try to make them align in one line, ensure all polarities are the same at each side

Join cells electrically using nickel strips or wire, use spot welder or maybe if you have a knowledge use soldering iron (not recommended). Again, very carefully check the polarities and try no to make short circuit!!! please

put cells inside bottom case, and check if top case fit nicely. Do the same with module

Once, everything closes inside, put button into its place.

Mount a module

Pre-cut the wires, in my case I soldered them first to 18650 pack in between to cells onto the nickel strip using the less heat as possible, then cut them into right length and connected into the module. Again, watch out for polarities since the module has B+ and B- pads which don't like to be swapped. Good practise would be to cover terminals of the pack with tape. There is a space for wires in a case, but not so much of it, so watch out.

Put the module inside the case.

Notes on Screws: 4 screws, x2 longer and x2 shorter are used for mounting the top and bottom cases together. Longer screws goes closer to module, closer to the ports, and shorter to the opposite of ports. Additional x2 shorter screws may be used to mount module to the bottom case, it is not necessary but recommended since you will plug in and out a lot of wires so take care about rigidity. The shorter screws may be still too long for the case so do not over tighten then to avoid marks on the bottom part.

You can use hot glue to mount cells to the case, it is a good idea but will make product less repairable. Complete the body by putting together both cases.

Screw the screws, it may feel like the whole body fits just fine without screws, but imagine it falling down onto the stone floor :)

Put screwcaps, you may glue them it, hammer will be a good option depending on tolerances of your printer

Finally, as an extra step you can paint it with transparent spray, recommended for visuals and feels.

Custom texts (graphics) & Donates
Since the PowerBucket has a quite large unused are which asks for using, I have came up with texts/images idea. It uses commonly known idea of printing flipped letters first, then the case itself without removing the text from build plate. How-To's may be found here: https://youtu.be/D7FiT5VqLSg. I prepared some text shared as pair of files - each starting from:
CHOICE1-top_case-whattextV1.stl, CHOICE1-letters-whattextV1.stl,
CHOICE2-top_case-whattextV1.stl, CHOICE2-letters-whattextV1.stl,
and so on.

After almost a year of using the PowerBucket I can say it does work and is able to fully charge any compatible device
